Direct Preventive Care

Compounded Semaglutide

Semaglutide injection

Compounding involves tailoring medications to individual patient needs, such as providing liquid forms when FDA-approved versions are pills. Compounded drugs are prepared by state-licensed pharmacies meeting FDA and state standards. They bypass FDA approval but must adhere to federal law.

Direct Preventive Care partners with compounding pharmacies to offer
semaglutide compounds, utilizing the same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy. They exclusively provide compounded products containing semaglutide base, akin to Ozempic and Wegovy.

Direct Preventive Care collaborates with state-licensed compounding pharmacies regulated by the FDA and state pharmacy boards, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, including quality standards.
Presently, our services are accessible in Florida, but not in other states.

Safety info: Compounded semaglutide may have serious side effects, including possible thyroid tumors. Do not use if you or your family have a history of a type of thyroid cancer called MTC or MEN 2. Read more about serious warnings and
safety info.

Select your current weight: 270 lbs

Weight you could lose (lbs): 58 lbs

*In clinical trials lasting 68 and 72 weeks that investigated the effects of Wegovy (2.4 mg) and Zepbound (15 mg) on patients without diabetes who either had a BMI ≥30, or a BMI ≥27 with an accompanying weight-related condition, participants experienced an average weight loss of 15% and 20% respectively, when these medications were combined with modifications in diet and exercise. This is in contrast to the 2.4% and 3.1% weight loss respectively achieved with just diet and exercise modifications alone.

Get Started with Compounded Semaglutide Medication

Compounded Semaglutide is a weekly shot that uses the same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy.
As an alternative to FDA-approved branded products, where appropriate, a provider may prescribe a drug, which is prepared by a state-licensed sterile compounding pharmacy partner. Although drugs are permitted to be prescribed under federal law, they are not FDA-approved and do not undergo safety, effectiveness, or manufacturing review.

Questions we hear every day

Direct Preventive Care is designed to be more than a telehealth platform, but still simple for our clients. You can start treatment in three easy steps. Complete a medical intake and (if necessary) have lab work done to verify a medical need for treatment. Speak to your new healthcare provider through a telehealth (audio-visual) appointment. If medically appropriate, receive your medication in the mail every 30-days, or 60-days, or 90-days from a mail order pharmacy provider (depending on your provider’s decision). We want to enable you to form a long-term connection with Direct Preventive Care so that we can provide ongoing care for your specific condition. With that in mind, Direct Preventive Care is designed for patients seeking long-term care.

Absolutely, all medications are prepared in sterile environments at either State Board of Pharmacy-accredited compounding pharmacies or FDA-authorized 503(b) Outsourcing Facilities. We partner with pharmacies licensed in all 50 states and use only top-quality ingredients. Clients who receive medical approval are typically prescribed (Semaglutide/Cyanocobalamin) injections, designed for slow absorption over a day or week, to help curb hunger and cravings. Please note that any prescribed medication is compounded and not affiliated with Novo Nordisk™ or the brand-name drugs Saxenda®, Victoza®, Wegovy®, or Ozempic®.

Saxenda®, Victoza®, Wegovy®, and Ozempic® are FDA-approved brand medications exclusively distributed by Novo Nordisk™. Mounjaro® and Zepbound® are exclusively distributed by Eli Lilly and Company™. Direct Preventive Care is not affiliated with or endorsed by these products or companies. We do not dispense these medications, and individuals interested in them should consult their healthcare provider or pharmacist for alternatives. Direct Preventive Care specializes in compounded medications, prepared in State Board of Pharmacy-licensed or FDA-authorized facilities. While these facilities adhere to strict regulations, compounded medications are not FDA-approved as they are customized to individual patient needs based on a prescription, considering factors like strength, dosage, and administration. Therefore, directly comparing the efficacy and risk profiles of compounded medications to FDA-approved drugs is difficult. Prescriptions for compounded drugs are based on the medical judgment of a licensed provider, following a telehealth consultation and review of the patient’s medical history.
Actual weight loss is dependent on a number of factors but many Direct Preventive Care clients lose around 5% of their initial body weight. Over 12 weeks, it can be as high as 10%. This equates to a weight loss of 10–20 pounds for a 200 pound person. Everyone is different though and the most successful patients also work hard to make diet and lifestyle changes. Healthy weight loss is often defined as 1-2lbs per week. Extreme weight loss is not a medically desired effect.

After your provider has prescribed a GLP-1 Medication, or another weight loss option, we send your prescription to a licensed compounding pharmacy. It typically takes 1 business day for the pharmacy to process the order which is then shipped via 2-Day shipping.

Please see the above video about performing a subcutaneous injection. Always ask your provider or licensed medical professional if you have any difficulties or questions.
Patients seeking treatment for GLP-1 programs need to be at least 18 years of age and no older than 75.
